Cultivating a safe community means being clear on what it means to be in community with others. Cry Me A Fire is a reflective space that fosters conversations on hard truths, individually and collectively. Below is a list of terms so that we can best engage with one another meaningfully, intentionally, and safely.

  1. Best intentions. Move forward with your best intentions. Seek not to harm, but to understand, share, challenge/counter, or clarify.

  2. All are welcome. Attacks on identity, use of slurs or other, acts of prejudice or discrimination, and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Period. Please reach out if you are experience or noticing any inappropriate behavior.

  3. Personal attacks are not permitted. Disagreements are natural, but does not require unnecessary harsh words geared towards another’s personhood or character.

  4. Practice mindfulness. For yourself and others. As stated previously, the goal here is to foster community and conversation. Being thoughtful and intentional with the information you choose to share with others. We want good vibes and must remain cognizant of our digital footprint and impact on others.
